Here are some UI updates the community devs are working in!
As you see there are two different approaches that will be merged soon. As you know several guys are working to build the manifesto.
On the blockchain side, Maker is trying to find the way to make the transactions free and signature based, you can see an approach and reasoning on the latest developments here:
